A 21-year-old woman died in a Texas hospital Sunday after she crashed into a vehicle with her young child in it.
Police said the woman was taken to the hospital after the crash and pronounced dead.
The woman’s name was not released.
A family friend, who did not want to be identified, said the mother, who was driving her husband and two other children to work, was driving at the time.
The family was not hurt, the family friend said.
The crash happened about 10:30 p.m. in the south part of Dallas.
Dallas police are investigating the incident.
In a statement, the Texas Department of Public Safety said it is working with the Texas Rangers to determine whether any criminal charges will be filed.
Police did not say whether the woman’s husband, who has not been identified, was in the car at the moment of the crash.
